FAQ - Total Composites Truck Campers

Q. Do your Truck Campers come with a warranty?

A. Total Composites has a one year warranty on the shell, and any build out work completed by San Juan Vans has a one year warranty. (As well as any manufacturer warranties for components used in build outs).

Q. Do you do custom interior builds for the truck campers?

A. We are no longer offering full custom builds on Total Composites camper shells. We can add limited options like windows, ceiling lights, roof fans, etc. but are not offering full interior design and build services. For a fully built Total Composites camper, stay tuned for our new production model 6.5 slide in camper that will be available in the coming months.

Q. Do you have pull-behind Trailer or custom box options?

A. We do not offer custom Total Composites box options. We have 8 available options for truck campers with dimensions listed on our website.

Q. Do you accept Reservations for future total composites orders?

A. Yes. For a camper shell to be reserved for a DIY build, we accept a $1500 deposit to reserve your place in line on an upcoming Total Composites order. A deposit equal to 65% of the total cost of the camper shell is due 1 week prior to the order being placed. Lead times for a pre-order of a Total Composites camper shell are generally 5-7 months. For faster lead times check with us for in stock units or purchase one of our production model campers.

Q. Do you Provide the Chassis for Flatbed campers?

A. We do not provide the trucks or chassis for any of the Total Composites truck campers.

Q. How long does a build take?

A. Truck camper shells are built in the order the deposit was received, usually a few weeks for just a shell, and another 2-4 weeks for a full build out, once the shells arrive at the shop. Timeframe on shell arrivals vary, as we have shell orders placed throughout the year. Contact us to find out when our next shell order will take place.

Q. Do you provide In-House Financing?

A. We don’t offer in-house financing, but work do work with local banks for financing. Please contact us to find out more information.

Q. Where is your shop located?

A. We are based in the SW Colorado town of Bayfield, just east of Durango.

Q. do I have to live in colorado to purchase a camper from you?

A. Not at all! We have customers from all over the USA. Our whole business was inspired from building our own rigs to explore our beautiful corner of the world. SW Colorado is a great adventure hub to begin exploring in your new camper!

Q. DO you allow shop visits?

A. We are happy to accommodate shop visits and camper tours with some advanced notice—please call or email to schedule a time!
